Creating a special and unique piece of jewelry for you or your loved one is always an honor. I love seeing how each vision is transformed into a lasting keepsake.
Getting Started
Take time to consider what you are looking for. Are you interested in a ring, a necklace, a cuff, a bracelet, or even something totally unique? Would you like to use 14k gold, 14k rose gold, 18k gold, sterling silver and would you like to include any gemstones? It’s helpful to know your budget before we begin so we can create the best piece possible. Which of my designs draw your attention? Referencing specific pieces or design elements can help me to actualize your vision. Feel free to include jewelry designs, techniques and styles that inspire you, however I will not replicate another artist’s work.
Ceremonial Jewelry
When selecting gemstones for jewelry it is important to consider the frequency with which they will be worn. Pieces such as engagement rings, wedding bands or heirlooms are commonly worn daily and require a harder stone (7+ on MOHS hardness scale). Gems such as sapphires, tourmaline, emeralds, aquamarine, rubies, and diamonds all fall within this range, though there are many others out there that make beautiful jewelry. While I love working with softer stones like opals, moonstone, and labradorite, and have done ceremonial jewelry with these, they can be risky choices for everyday pieces due to their fragility.
Timeline and Deposit
Most custom designs take approximately 6-8 weeks, which includes the design process, communication, acquisition of materials and fabrication. When using one of my previous designs with some alterations or choosing different stones may result in a quicker timeline.
Please email me at eponawindjewelry@gmail.com with your design inquiry. Once a project is agreed upon a $250.00 deposit is due to ensure I can move forward with starting your custom piece. Custom rings include resizing if needed. All custom design sales are final.
Warmly,
